Major Moscow's Strikes Cut Power Throughout Ukraine's Capital

Power facilities under attack in the region
Ukraine's energy systems have faced escalating strikes in recent weeks

During the night, Moscow's missile and drone strikes have resulted in electricity outages in large parts of the capital city, Kyiv.

Several individuals were wounded while residents in the city's east were experienced blackouts and encountered interruptions to water systems, according to city officials.

At the same time, a minor was killed in a separate assault in the Zaporizhzhia region in the southeastern part, based on information from local officials.

Moscow has intensified attacks on energy facilities over the past few days, while the country's government has demanded "concrete actions" from allies to increase pressure on Moscow.

"The necessity is not superficial actions but strong steps - from the America, the EU and the major economies - in delivering defensive weapons and implementing sanctions," mentioned in a social media post.

Authorities reported that numerous aerial vehicles and more than 30 missiles struck energy facilities, describing such assaults as "premeditated" and against "critical infrastructure" as winter approaches.

Energy officials said Russia was "inflicting a massive strike" and technical staff were working to restore power.

A wave of strikes damaged power facilities and residential structures in the capital.

Five out of the nine people injured in the attacks on the city have been transported for medical care, per statements from local officials.

Regional authorities said the urban area came under heavy assaults throughout the evening. A young boy died and three other people were injured.

The assaults come after periods of bombing campaigns in the region, parts of which are currently controlled by invading troops.

The whole nation is on alert for advanced weapon attacks, which are more difficult to spot.

Government officials told reporters that Moscow was deliberately attempting to demolish the national power system, with strikes already affecting fuel infrastructure.

Authorities confirmed energy workers and officials were preparing for further attacks.
